This course aims at educating startup founders with the concept of 'Intellectual Property' and how to use it.

Dr. Dirk Brown

Dr. Dirk Brown is the Faculty Director of the University of South Carolina’s McNair Institute for Entrepreneurism and Free Enterprise and a faculty member of the management department at the Darla Moore School of Business. Dr. Brown holds over 35 patents, has written over 30 technical papers and journal articles as well as a book entitled “Inventions = Money”. Dr. Brown holds an M.B.A. from San Jose State, a Ph.D. (Materials Science) from Cornell University, and a B.Sc. (Eng) in Applied Physics/Electrical Engineering from Queen’s University in Canada.
